Our Monmouth Class II biological safety cabinet is independently tested to BS EN 12469:2000, ISO CLASS 5 clean-air protection for both operator and environment during microbiological procedures. Designed for work involving cell culture, pharmaceutical, clinical and microbiological, it provides reliable containment across a wide range of laboratory applications. Class 2 biological safety cabinets are suitable for work with microbiological agents assigned to Biosafety Levels 1, 2 3 or 4.

A constant inward airflow draws air through the front aperture to prevent contaminants from escaping. This air is then filtered through the supplied high-efficiency H14 HEPA filter (99.997% efficiency at 0.3 microns), providing both personnel and environmental protection. Filters should be checked in accordance with COSHH regulations, servicing (also sold separately) should be carried out in line with these requirements.

The cabinet is constructed from welded mild steel with a durable, powder-coated finish. It features a sectional stainless steel work surface with profiled air intake grilles for optimal airflow, toughened glass panels, dimmable LED lighting, integrated UV light and an electronic sliding sash. The Visionaire® touchscreen offers real-time airflow visibility, fan speed control and filter life alerts. An eco mode reduces energy use when idle. The Infra-Red Intelligent Sash Safety (IRISS) system halts sash closure if obstructed.
